Hartmut Bohnacker

Hartmut Bohnacker is an interaction designer with special interest in data visualization and computational design. He is a professor of Interaction Design at the HfG Schwäbisch Gmünd.

He studied Information & Media at the HfG Schwäbisch Gmünd. He then worked as a freelance designer for companies such as Siemens AG, Daimler Chrysler, EnBW, E.ON, Porsche AG, Robert Bosch GmbH and Fraunhofer Institute.

He is co-author of “Generative Gestaltung” (Generative Design) and “Generative Gestaltung im Web” (Generative Design with p5.js), two books that teach creative coding to designers and are considered standard books in the field of computational design. They are translated to English, Japanese and French (only “Generative Gestaltung”).
